Steve Tinney’s interest in construction began in college where he took classes on Engineering Methods and Engineering Graphics. Upon graduation from Jacksonville State University in 1987 with a BS in Marketing and minor in Communications, Steve worked in marketing for Pitney Bowes, MCI Telecommunications, and FLA Orthopedics. During this time his interest in home construction continued as he took a hands-on training class on residential construction. In 1994, Steve and his wife, Mary Emily, moved from Birmingham, Alabama for Steve to become the Project Manager for one of Brentwood’s premier builders. In 1999, Steve acquired his General Contractors License and began building houses as Steve Tinney Custom Homes. He has built custom and speculative houses in some of Williamson County’s finest neighborhoods. These include The Governor’s Club, Tuscany Hills, Hampton Reserve, Montclair, Carronbridge, Ashton Park, Saddle Springs, Ivan Creek, Forrest Crossing and others. Steve also has extensive experience in renovations and additions. Given the opportunity, Steve Tinney Custom Homes will work closely with you to build the home of your dreams.
